VOC technology company Formia Emissions Control Oy established a branch office in the USA

Formia Emissions Control Oy, the internationally operating VOC technology management company, has strengthened its presence in North America by opening a branch office in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. Craig Bernheimer was appointed as Strategic Accounts Manager, with the responsibility of NAFTA area sales and customer support. The new office expands Formia’s customer services to the area, providing local industrial companies with the latest catalytic VOC emission purification expertise.

Craig Bernheimer has  broad previous experience in the sales and service of industrial equipment, and with the Formia team is responsible for VOC systems sales. William Clary, one of the Formia Emissions Control Oy’s international owners, is responsible for the strategic guiding of the North American operations. Clary is highly experienced in the catalyst technology, local industrial markets, and currently serves as CEO/CTO of MIRATECH Corporation.

“We decided to enter the market based on a preliminary internal study authored by Bernheimer, and an international field study of NAFTA area made during the GAP program of the UCLA Anderson School of Management late 2010. There seems to be clear interest in our type of compact and reliable VOC incineration technology, offering energy savings and environmental benefits in complying the industrial emissions regulations”, explains Jukka Salminen, the CEO of Formia Emissions Control Oy.

“North America represents over one third of the world’s Air Pollution Control Equipment markets. Thanks to its energy and VOC destruction efficiency, the share of catalytic incinerators is expected to increase in a growing market. So we are dealing with major opportunities here”, analyses William Clary.

“Despite the slow recovery of wealthier economies and slow funding of new projects, we have witnessed increasing activity in our target markets. Locality is essential for efficient business operations in technology sales, service and packaging which offer significant benefits for our industrial customers”, states Craig Bernheimer.

Currently the branch office is managing Formia’s first catalytic VOC oxidizer delivery project to the NAFTA area, in Los Angeles, California. This oxidizer is intended to be operational during the third quarter of 2011 for purification of VOC emissions released in chemical blending and distribution processes.
